Lesson 6

I first tried searching for ocean liners with the default search and came up with three results. A book on the Titanic was the only relevant result, so I decided to switch gears and did a search for camping. This search yielded 146 results with information about state parks, specific state guides and international locations. I liked that you could search within the text using the tools on the right, and there were also tools to make notes and a dictionary. For Constitution Day I did a search for United States and Constitution. Some of the titles were:

Vile, J. R. (2001). Companion to the United States Constitution and Its Amendments. Greenwood Publishing Group.
Maddex, R. L. (1996). Illustrated Dictionary of Constitutional Concepts. Congressional Quarterly Press.
Cornelison, P., & Yanak, T. (2004). Great American History Fact-finder : The Who, What, Where, When, and Why of American History. Houghton-Mifflin Trade and Reference.

Did I also mention that the citation format tool on this resource and others is amazing!! So helpful for students writing papers.

If you do an advanced search with PB Publisher as Nebraska, the titles will be published in Nebraska e.g. by University of Nebraska Press. Another way to find more ebooks.

  1. Thanks for your comments, librena. We think ebooks on ebsco is a good place to find solid information quickly, 24/7. The university presses we pointed out will take you to good historical info. A basic "South Dakota" search also yields interesting results.
