1. I did a visual search on South Dakota and got 116 results. There are four tabs at the top of the search results that allow you to change how you see your results (group results, sort results, filter results by date and the display style). I clicked on South Dakota--History, then Agriculture and got the result "Prairie Winnows Out Its Own" by Paula Nelson. From here I wanted to click on this title and be taken to the ebook, but you have to click on "more" under the summary and this takes you to a page where you can click on the "ebook Full Text". I can see how students would like the visual search to narrow down a topic, but I prefer the basic search since you get the same results and it is faster to get to the actual ebook.
2. I did a basic search for fairy tale and results #5-9 are books from the series. The author (editor) is Andrew Lang and the titles are "The Blue Fairy", "The Red Fairy", "The Violet Fairy", and "The Yellow Fairy". There are actually only four titles since blue is there twice. Just to make sure I wasn't missing any since there are twelve books in the series, I searched for fairy tales and Andrew Lang and got the same five results.
Good work, Librena. Yes, I think the visual search would be better for browsing, but if you are after something specific, basic is faster. And you are right about the fairy tale books. Thanks for your comments!
